As an engineer at Pony Express HQ, you'll be a part of a highly independent and autonomous team. Since we're building out a robust data layer that needs to be presented elegantly to the end user, you'll be working with a large array of different technologies and fields.

Responsibilities

• Apply theoretical engineering knowledge to real-world problems

• Follow mentoring as specified

• Pick a project you like

• Collect requirements, document specs for your project

• Design, implement, test your project from end to end

• Present your work to the company

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a closely related discipline

• Experience writing scripts to solve problems in any language

• Completed projects or classes focused on Data Structures and Algorithms

• Experience with algorithms, using data structures to solve problems, and interpreting algorithms and contributing ideas to their development

• Effective communication skills in English, being a proactive, self-motivated, positive attitude

• Extra points: knowledge of databases, in-memory storages, NoSQL and key-value databases, Javascript, Node.js, strong knowledge of TDD, unit and automated tests
